Professional Obligations & Tax Practitioner Disclosures
Gold Medal Accounting Pty Ltd is a registered tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB). We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and ethical conduct in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 and the Tax Practitioners Board Code of Professional Conduct.
Our Commitment to Professional Standards
We undertake ongoing professional development to ensure our knowledge remains current and that we continue to provide high-quality taxation, accounting and advisory services to our clients.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
The Tax Practitioners Board and relevant professional associations require tax practitioners to complete ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
Current CPD Requirements:
• Minimum 120 hours of CPD over a rolling three-year period
Our team meets or exceeds these professional development requirements to maintain competency and stay up to date with changes in taxation legislation, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Tax Practitioners Board Code of Professional Conduct
As registered tax practitioners, we are required to comply with the Tax Practitioners Board Code of Professional Conduct.
Effective from 1 July 2025, additional obligations have been introduced to further strengthen professional standards and public confidence in the taxation profession.
These obligations include:
• Upholding ethical standards and acting with honesty and integrity
• Avoiding false or misleading statements
• Managing conflicts of interest appropriately
• Maintaining client confidentiality
• Keeping accurate records relating to tax agent services
• Ensuring appropriate supervision and quality control procedures
• Keeping clients informed of matters affecting their tax affairs
• Maintaining a documented Quality Management System (QMS)
• Disclosing significant matters where required by law
Client Responsibilities
To enable us to provide accurate and compliant advice, clients should:
• Provide complete and accurate information in a timely manner
• Notify us of changes to their personal or business circumstances
• Review documents and advice provided by our office
• Retain records supporting their taxation affairs as required by law
